Corn Dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Juana corn meal 
  • ½ cup of white MASECA® corn masa flour 
  • 8 hot dogs 
  • 8 corn dog sticks 
  • 2 1/4 cups of milk 
  • 1 egg 
  • ¼ cup of sugar  
  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt 
  • 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper 
  • Cooking oil for frying. 

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Then add the milk and egg. Mix all the ingredients well and set aside. 
  2. Skewer each hot dog to the corn dog sticks. 
  3. Pour the mixture into a glass and dip each hot dog. 
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot and fry the corn dogs until golden brown. 
  5. Remove from the pot and drain excess grease.
